RC522 Mini RFID Module
Description
RC522 Chip Introduction MF RC522 is a highly integrated read/write chip for 13.56 MHz non-contact communication. It is a low-voltage, low-cost, small-sized non-contact read/write chip launched by NXP for the "three-meter" application. It is an ideal choice for developing smart instruments and portable hand-held devices. The MFRC522 adopts advanced modulation and demodulation concepts, integrating all types of passive contactless communication methods and protocols at 13.56 MHz. It supports 14443A compatible transponder signals, digital part processes ISO14443A frames and error detection. It also supports fast CRYPTO1 encryption algorithm and MIFARE product series authentication. The MFRC522 supports higher-speed non-contact communication with MIFARE series products, with dual data transmission speeds up to 424 kbps. As a new member of the highly integrated 13.56 MHz series chips, the MF RC522 is fully compatible with MF RC500 and MF RC530, with many similarities and differences. It has multiple low-voltage operation modes and communicates through the SPI interface, making it easy to connect, reducing PCB board size, and lowering costs.
